Strategic realignment of the global HR landscape
How do you create an integrated, efficient and future-oriented HR organization? We supported FRESSNAPF in the further development of its global HR activities – with a clear strategy, modern processes and targeted measures.
The goal
To strategically realign global HR activities with the corporate strategy and the expanded business model in order to increase efficiency and establish a sustainable, value-creating and future-oriented HR strategy.
The approach
- Together, we conducted a comprehensive analysis and defined the “Hire to Retire” process to strategically shape the entire employee journey.

- We developed and implemented a forward-looking compensation strategy – including a job architecture framework, career path modeling, and global salary bands. As a foundation, we introduced a new grading system.
- To identify the company’s critical roles, we carried out a key position analysis, providing the basis for targeted talent and succession planning.
- Building on a newly developed competency model for the entire Fressnapf Group, we implemented a low and top performance management system. This approach addresses underperformance, ensures clear alignment with corporate goals, and enhances overall performance through targeted employee development.
The Outcome
During our 18-month collaboration, the HR organization was significantly improved with clear structures, efficient processes and a sustainable compensation model. These measures also helped close the gender pay gap and created a fairer, more modern compensation structure based on performance and potential. In addition, all HR activities were better integrated to deliver efficient service and added value.
